Bears take local Win

10/4/16

BWB  2nd Division South

Warwickshire  Bears 64

CWBA 35

The Bears took the spoils against local rivals CWBA  in the first game of the double header of games at Warwick College, Henley-in-Arden.   The first quarter was dominated by the Bears defence, who limited the fast paced CWBA to only two baskets in the first quarter whilst racking up 16 points.  After the break CWBA came out to put pressure on the Bears who were ready for the challenge and pulled further ahead to open a larger gap between the teams at the half way point. The second half saw a change to the Bears line up who were able to utilise a full bench.  CWBA once again tried to tighten the grip on Bears offence  slowing down the scoreboard count but not able to make any dents into the Bears score into the last quarter.  The final quarter saw CWBA’s main player Cameron Swan come out shooting hitting two impressive three point shots to try and get CWBA back in the game, but Bears were always in control and finished the game off with the scores at the buzzer Bears 64 – 35 CWBA
